Hanshin Tigers

Last week we went to a baseball game in Kobe -- the Hanshin Tigers vs. the Hiroshima Carp. It was a great day for a baseball game. And it was a great game ... for the Carp. They almost batted through the cycle in the first inning and held on to control of the game. The Tigers tried to make a late surge but couldn't make it happen.
During the 7th inning stretch, it seemed like nearly every person in the stadium had a balloon that they inflated to wave around and then release. The visual effect was was neat. We went with some of our friends, one of whom had some balloons that she shared with us.
Also, while we were walking through the concourse to try to find some dinner we found a KFC with the Colonel decked out in Hanshin Tigers gear. Our faithful blog readers may remember Jason's post about the Curse of the Colonel.
There are more pictures on the picasa site.
