February 6 was the day that we left for Sapporo, but Jason and I got up early that morning to run before we left. As we were getting ready to go, we noticed that it was snowing in Himeji! So I took my camera along for the run. I really wanted a picture of Himeji Castle covered in snow. The snow was coming down pretty hard (I referred to it as a blizzard, but Jason balked at the term -- I guess your definition of "blizzard" is pretty different when you come from Phoenix vs. Canada).
Even though it was coming down it really wasn't sticking, so I didn't really get my shot of Himeji Castle.
But it was a little sneak peak of what was waiting for us when we got to Sapporo.
